I Took Part in the Annual World Clean-up Day of the Citizen of the Planet

Today is World Clean-up Day. I joined my sister and their company’s organization, Citizen of the Planet (COTP) pick up wastes at the riverside of Marikina City in Malanday. Supposedly, the drive is just nearby our house, at Liwasang Kalayaan, Marikina Heights, so I was alarmed very early in the morning when my sister woke me up and told me that the venue was changed.

In today’s clean-up drive, we used tongs, plastic gloves, broomsticks, and garbage bags. We started from Malanday National High School all the way to the skating rink in Bayan. We picked up wastes like plastics, paper cups, bottles, caps, straws, candy wrappers, plastic wrappers, and the likes. It’s just easy. We just picked up whatever we saw, and the tongs were manageable.

After we’re done with the clean-up, we ate at the nearby park and eating place. The food was served for us. It was adobo and chopseuy rice meals plus sweetened banana. It was a nice meal for all of us.

We ended the day by going to Bayan market. We bought vegetables and meats, and we passed by Ador’s Bakeshop, where we bought Asado toasted siopao to take home.
